Would you buy this?

I know this has been asked on the white board, but would you buy.

A new book with all the toys TMP has made and i mean everthing, CC figures,
exclusives, all varients made by tmp?

Not a price guide cause that's the last thing we need, just something with pictures and info about the toy something you can take with you for refference or to show friends, hell it might even drag in more fans and sales.


I think if a big enough petition was made todd might consider it.

Believe it or not, this was an idea that I brought up years ago that was answered by some unknown McFarlane employee at the time. None other than Steve the Victim! I thought the idea of a "coffee table" book would be cool with pictures of all variants and info on all figures. Unfortunately the book would become obsolete with the release of the next series.

For example...I bought the Star Trek Encyclopedia when Deep Space 9 was on. They updated it when Voyager came out. I'm sure there's another one out with Enterprise. The book is too expensive for me to keep buying the updated versions! And that's just the paperback version I originally bought!

what if it was done like a binder deal, so you could just get new pages as time went on?

Reminds me of those cards you used to buy from National Geographic where each month you would get 25 animals to put in the collection so you could learn...

Maybe instead of doing it as a book, it could be done as a index card sized item that could be purchased from the CC store on a quarterly basis. Then roll that update back into the base set and raise the price accordingly,

True - and I would be MORE than happy to - but it is the access to the photos of the figures and such that limit me.

I'm always happy when Tomart's or Lee's does a "pull out" guide.

As far as being obsolete, they could do a vol.2 5 years down the road and a vol.3 in ten~

I'd be scared of it. I really don't think that it's healthy for me to know EVERY varient that's out there you know? [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img]
